We are now seeking a passionate and experienced hands-on Legal Counsel to join our dynamic legal team based in London! As Legal Counsel, you will possess a deep understanding of legal principles, enjoy working with different teams and have experience in a high-performing commercial setting. We’re particularly interested in individuals with experience in commercial contracts, SaaS, intellectual property and data. For the right person, this is the opportunity to develop and become a key player in the legal team of a rapidly scaling business.
What you will do
What you will do at Normative to aid the transition towards net zero emissions:
- Be a part of the legal team and report to the Senior Legal counsel
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts for commercial transactions, including general customer contracts, supplier T&C’s, MSAs, consultancy, non-disclosure agreements and partnerships
- Join customer calls to answer questions about our commercial standards, our product, and our operational norms and policies.
- Working in collaboration and/or independently on various deals under end of month, quarter, and year end, and have the ability to judge when to escalate or/and get a second opinion
- Assist in various legal or cross-organisational activities or projects and liaise with the other functions in the company
- Assist in handling of general corporate legal matters and management of legal company documentation
- Ad-hoc legal and compliance queries and legal support across the Group
Experience we’re seeking
Newly Qualified to 2 years PQE. Training and qualification from a top tier law firm and/or in-house team is highly desirable.
Exposure to working in-house (by secondment or otherwise)
Qualified as a UK lawyer. Beneficial if you have experience with Scandinavian and other jurisdictions as well
You have experience from a fast growing tech company, especially within SaaS
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and strong attention to details
Experience working with commercial contracts for customers and clients across various industries. Exposure to intellectual property law beneficial.
Be able to consume & communicate information to internal and external stakeholders and execute at fast speed, and work well in a fast-paced and agile environment
Strong business vs risk acumen, i.e possess a solid understanding for when the business needs a quick reply, as opposed to a extensive deep dive for a exhaustive answer

Have good organisational skills and an ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with a strong work ethic and thrive in a commercial oriented, hands on environment.
Are curious, open and have a business oriented mindset, while at the same time having good legal analytical skills and attention to details.
Ability to listen to the needs of the business and to consider those in legal advice.
Location
Normative operates in a hybrid remote model with offices in Stockholm, Copenhagen, and London. For this role, you will be hired into our wonderful office in London centrally located around London Bridge where you will be able to work flexibly.
At this time we are not able to offer relocation or VISA support for this position.
